While the truth of Abiding with God through faith is a fundamental truth that Spofford and Oak prioritizes. Faith is more fully realized and grasped when we are able to gain freedom from our old patterns of behavior and belief systems, which makes "Becoming" another important and primary pillar of Spofford and Oak. There is a blessed, and most times difficult, process of becoming who we were always made to be through inviting Jesus into every crevice of our beings.

To assist in this process, Spofford and Oak offer freedom prayer to help individuals overcome barriers to belief in the truth that was discussed in the "Abiding" section. Freedom Prayer is a time when a person can come before God, in the company of Freedom Prayer leaders, to open a dialogue with God the Holy Spirit with the hope to identify what is keeping the person from feeling free to draw near to God. This is a powerful yet subtle tool that any Christian is free to engage in. It is a way of deliverance that prioritizes dignity and yields genuine fruit of closeness with God.

Spofford and Oak also aims to be a community of individuals who prioritize Jesus’ work in our flesh, and Jesus’ work in us as a community. We are made into his image by doing life together as well as coming together to pray.
