Abiding
John 15:4
"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me."

We believe that Jesus is our high priest and his work was finished on the cross. We now have full access to the father through receiving Jesus’ atonement and trading our old lives that are destined for death, for his new life that has come through death and cannot die again.
Therefore, there is nothing else that needs to be done or can be added to help us get closer to God. We have full and complete access to the deepest places of God who is an infinite mystery. We need only to have faith that Jesus’ sacrifice was enough to cover the cost of every mistake we have made.
Abide is about fully, to the best of our ability, giving ourselves over to this reality for extended periods of time through worship. It is open in equal and infinite measure to the brand new believer as well as the seasoned veteran.

Jesus died so that we could be together with God again. Abide is intentional time where we give God what he wants, which is us.
How we Practice Abiding
Worship
A big part of what we do is devote ourselves to times of worshipping Jesus. These worship gatherings are open to anyone and held in our prayer house. Information about when we hold worship gatherings can be found in our calendar.
Prayer
Additionally, prayer is a crucial part of this ministry. We are committed to pray for the West Central Neighborhood, for God's kingdom to come in Spokane at large, as well as for the individual prayer needs of those who attend Spofford and Oak. For now we host times of prayer every weekday morning. Any additional prayer gatherings will be posted on our calendar.
Soaking
Soaking in God's presence is a practice of receiving from God. It is just as important to learn how to receive from Jesus as it is to serve him. Our soaking gatherings will be open to anyone to come and go as they please. The tone will be set by Holy Spirit-led instrumental music. It is intended as a free space to journal, work quietly, or just be with God.
All future soaking gatherings will be posted in our calendar.
